HHS opens season in Rio Rancho

The Hobbs boys golf team kicked off its season by finishing second with a statequalifying score of 323 at the Rio RanchoInvitational on Monday. Kenneth Fadke won the tournament with a state-qualifying score of 75. Chase Searcy also qualified with an 81. Camren Bergman (82), Chase Atwood (83) and Chris Aldrete (90) rounded out the Eagles’ scores. On the girls side, the Lady Eagles took third overall with a 410. Taylor Rather led Hobbs with a 98 followed by Stefanie Abila (101), Lynsey Wheeler (102), BaLeigh Waldrop (111) and K’Lee Jett (116). Hobbs competes next at the Artesia Invite on Monday.
